Designed for performers with prior tap experience, Intermediate Tap for Actors helps students expand their technique, musicality, and confidence while refining the skills that support both dance and musical theatre performance. This class focuses on strengthening rhythm, clarity of sound, coordination, and style, while challenging students with combinations that encourage precision, expression, and dynamic storytelling through movement.

Under the instruction of Erin Newton, actors will explore tap as a theatrical tool—learning how choreography communicates character, energy, and emotion, and how strong tap technique enhances their versatility onstage.

Whether you’re returning to the craft or stepping into it for the first time, The Adult Actor’s Workshop offers an inspiring, supportive space for artists to explore, grow, and reconnect with their creative voice. Led by seasoned actor and director Michael Hannigan, this workshop blends fundamental technique with practical skill development, guiding adult performers through a rich variety of acting exercises and scene work.

Participants will deepen their understanding of text, strengthen their expressive range, and build confidence through thoughtful coaching, group collaboration, and playful exploration. This is a welcoming environment where adults of all backgrounds can challenge themselves artistically while enjoying a fun, community-focused creative experience.

Whether you’re a lifelong musical theatre lover, a returning performer, or someone who has always dreamed of trying it, this class is all about celebrating the pure fun and artistry of the genre.

Under the vibrant direction of Erin Newton, students will explore musical theatre choreography, vocal performance, character work, and storytelling—all while learning iconic moments and styles from beloved Broadway shows. No previous experience is required; just enthusiasm, curiosity, and a love for the magic of musicals.
